I actually liked the television series better than the 1998 live action movie. The TV series had some cool looking monsters and interesting storylines, with comic relief provided, frequently, by the brilliant but often bumbling Dr. Mendel Craven.

actually i did like the zilla series it did justice to the character and made me not hate him so much
